  1. Matthew 24:36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” This verse from the gospel of Matthew speaks to the mystery of the end of time. No one knows when it will come, not even Jesus.
  2. Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Jesus points to the evangelism of the gospel as a sign of the end of time.
  3. 1 Peter 4:7 “The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.” Peter encourages believers to stay focused and alert, as the end of time is near.
  4. Mark 13:7 “When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.” Jesus warns against getting caught up in the chaos of the world, as these things must happen, but the end is still to come.
  5. 2 Peter 3:10 “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.” Peter speaks of the day of the Lord, when the heavens will be destroyed and all will be laid bare.
  6. 2 Thessalonians 1:7-8 “and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.” Paul speaks of the Lord Jesus’ return, when He will bring relief to those who are troubled and punish those who do not obey the gospel.
  7. Revelation 1:7 “Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.” This verse from the book of Revelation speaks of Jesus’ return, when He will come with the clouds and be seen by all.
  8. Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” This verse speaks of the end of time, when death, mourning, crying, and pain will be no more.
  9. Isaiah 13:9-10 “See, the Day of the Lord is coming—a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger—to make the land desolate and destroy the sinners within it. The stars of heaven and their constellations will not show their light. The rising sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light. This speaks of the coming of the Day of the Lord, when God’s wrath and anger will be unleashed and the land will be made desolate.
  10. Isaiah 24:19-20 “The earth is broken up, the earth is split apart, the earth is violently shaken. The earth reels like a drunkard, it sways like a hut in the wind; so heavy upon it is the guilt of its rebellion that it falls—never to rise again.” This speaks of the end of the world, when the earth is broken up, split apart, and violently shaken.
  11. Isaiah 66:24 “And they will go out and look upon the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me; their worm will not die, nor will their fire be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind.” This speaks of the judgment of those who rebelled against God, when their worm will not die and their fire will not be quenched.
  12. Daniel 12:2 “Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.” This verse speaks of the resurrection of the dead, when some will awake to everlasting life and others to shame and everlasting contempt.
  13. Matthew 24:43-44 “But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” Jesus speaks of the need to be ready and watchful, as He will come at an hour when we least expect Him.
  14. Matthew 25:31-32 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.” This speaks of the judgment of the nations, when all will be gathered before Jesus and He will separate the people like a shepherd separating the sheep from the goats.
  15. Revelation 20:13-15 “The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.” This speaks of the judgment of the dead, when each person will be judged according to what they had done and anyone whose name is not found in the book of life will be thrown into the lake of fire.
  16. Revelation 20:11-12 “Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.” This speaks of the judgment of the dead, when the books will be opened and the dead will be judged according to what they had done.
  17. Revelation 21:1-2 “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.” This speaks of the coming of the new heaven and new earth, when the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, will come down from God.
  18. Revelation 22:20 “He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.” This is the cry of the church, for Jesus to come quickly.
  19. Isaiah 65:17 “Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.” This speaks of the coming of the new heavens and new earth, when the former things will not be remembered.
  20. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.” This speaks of the rapture of the church, when the dead in Christ will rise and those who are alive will be caught up in the clouds to be with the Lord forever.
  21. Revelation 21:22-23 “I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.” This speaks of the New Jerusalem, when there will be no need for the sun or moon, for God’s glory will give it light and the Lamb will be its lamp.
  22. Revelation 22:12-13 “Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” This speaks of the coming of Jesus, when He will bring His reward and He will be the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
  23. Psalm 102:25-26 “In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment.” This speaks of the end of the world, when the heavens and the earth will perish and God will remain.
  24. Isaiah 34:4 “All the stars of the heavens will be dissolved and the sky rolled up like a scroll; all the starry host will fall like withered leaves from the vine, like shriveled figs from the fig tree.” This speaks of the destruction of the heavens and the stars, when they will all fall like withered leaves from the vine.
  25. Isaiah 51:6 “Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath; the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies. But my salvation will last forever, my righteousness will never fail.” This speaks of the coming destruction of the heavens and the earth, when its inhabitants will die like flies, but God’s salvation and righteousness will last forever.
