  1. Isaiah 1:2 – “Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.” The prophet Isaiah reminds us that God is the one who nurtures and cares for us, and when we rebel against Him, we need to turn back to Him.
  2. Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” God reassures us through the prophet Jeremiah that He has good plans for us, and that He will bring us to a good end.
  3. Ezekiel 34:11 – “For thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.” This verse reminds us that God is always looking out for us, and will never abandon us.
  4. Amos 3:7 – “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.” This verse tells us that God always reveals His plans to His prophets before anyone else.
  5. Micah 6:8 – “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” The prophet Micah reminds us that God requires us to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with Him.
  6. Isaiah 55:11 – “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” This verse reminds us that God’s word is powerful and will accomplish all that He promises.
  7. Jeremiah 23:5 – “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.” This verse reminds us that God will one day send a righteous king who will bring justice and righteousness to the world.
  8. Hosea 6:6 – “For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.” This verse reminds us that God desires us to have knowledge of Him and to act mercifully, rather than to offer sacrifices.
  9. Amos 5:24 – “But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.” This verse reminds us that God desires justice and righteousness to be practiced on earth.
  10. Isaiah 42:1 – “Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.” This verse foretells of the coming Messiah who will bring judgment to the nations.
  11. Zechariah 7:9 – “Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother.” This verse reminds us that God desires us to show mercy and compassion to our fellow man.
  12. Joel 2:28 – “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.” This verse foretells of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon all people, and that the prophets will be able to receive visions and dreams.
  13. Isaiah 7:14 – “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” This verse foretells of the coming of the Messiah, Jesus, who would be born of a virgin.
  14. Malachi 3:1 – “Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.” This verse foretells of the coming of John the Baptist , who would prepare the way for Jesus.
  15. Isaiah 11:2 – “And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.” This verse foretells of the coming of the Messiah, Jesus, who would be filled with the Spirit of God.
  16. Jeremiah 31:31 – “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah.” This verse foretells of the coming of the New Covenant through Jesus Christ.
  17. Amos 8:11 – “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord.” This verse foretells of a time when people would ignore the words of God.
  18. Isaiah 9:6 – “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” This verse foretells of the coming of the Messiah, Jesus, who would be the Prince of Peace.

  20. Jeremiah 33:3 – “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” This verse reminds us that God is always willing to reveal knowledge and wisdom to us.
  21. Isaiah 40:31 – “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” This verse reminds us that those who wait on the Lord will be strengthened and never grow weary.

  25. Isaiah 6:8 – “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” This verse reminds us that the prophets must always be willing to answer God’s call.
