We also see that God is a God of miracles because He enabled Elijah to defeat the prophets of Baal even though they had many more people on their side.
3. Mount Moriah – Genesis 22 (Old Testament)
Mount Moriah is where Abraham was going to sacrifice his son Isaac at God’s command. From this, we learn that Abraham had faith in God even when it didn’t make sense to him. He was willing to obey even when it was difficult, and he trusted that God would provide even when things looked hopeless. We also see how much Jesus loves Jerusalem despite its disobedience which leads us to believe that He loves us no matter how much we sin against Him.

Calvary is where Jesus was crucified for our sins. From this mountain, we learn how much Jesus loves us! He died a painful death even though He didn’t deserve it because He wanted to save us from our sinfulness! We also see how powerful His love is because it conquered death itself!
